Dear Richard,
The stones may recurr. Getting them removed once is no guarantee that they will not recurr because the reasons which led to their original formation are most likely still there. The precautions will depend upon the kind of stone that was removed from the bladder. The basics are
-drink lots of water (atleast 8 glasses a day)
-limit intake of food high in oxalate content
-if there is any urinary tract infection, get it treated
wishing you health,
Dr. B
