Will every case have mental symptoms?

No. It is not necessary for every case to have mental symptoms. There are lot of one-sided cases. Symptoms relate to disease and every disease may not show mental symptoms. But every person has a particular psychological makeup and mental traits. These when understood well do help in selecting the similimum. So in short, you will not find mental symptoms in every case but you can always find mental traits of your case. For eg., if a person is optimistic and expressive, you can rule out medicines which are pessimistic in nature, melancholic, and non-expressive. You can focus on medicine which cover such personalities. But you can not call optimism or expressive or diligence as symptoms (if not out of proportion). Still these traits can help in remedy selction.
