My niece aged 3 yrs is suffering from severe constipation. She passes stools once in 4 days and the mass is very large. I have given her Alumina 30 and Bio4. But the medicines act palliative and when she stops again she gets constipation. Pl. advise. I have given her bryonia 30 in the night also.

Why have you given her Alumina and Bryonia? Why not Calcarea, Graphites, Lac def, Mezereum, Silecia, Mag mur,Nux vom, Sep, Sul, Verat, Aesc etc. All these medicines can work in severe constipation where there is large stool. And there are dozens more. The medicines will work palliatively because they are partially similar at best. Or they will act suppressively. Constipation is not a disease that needs to be countered. It is just a manifestation of a chronic disease process. I think you need to take your niece and her parents to a good homeopath for a detail case taking. Unless and untill the cause is addressed, it will be difficult to bring about radical change in your niece.
