Dear Doc.,

A lady patient of Depression (Anxieties of all kinds. Had some history of her family) was getting treatment by alopathetic medicines for over two years. But the relief was short lived, there was terrible reactions in skin and also the strength had to be upped every two/three months.

Of my own I tried KALI PHOS 6 from local source. Getting very good result since over two years. I tried potencies of 200, 30, and 6. But potency 6 is the best.

I have now obtained KALI PHOS mother tincture from Gernamy. I thought I may now try mother tincture for better and parmanent results if possible.

Should I try mother tincture or try dilution of the mother tincture to nearer potency of 6 ? If that is so how do I do it?

Could you please help me with your valued guidance? I am not a doctor and am trying only with books.

Dear Mr. Sengupta,

As you have yourself seen that kali-phos is working paliatively here and not curatively. It is at best a partial similimum. I would suggest that you should stop treating the depression and start treating the person as a whole. Take a full case and find a remedy based on the totality of symptoms and the cause of her complaints. Such a remedy will bring curative results. If you can not do it yourself, I would recommend you take professional help. Homeopathy is not a game that you can play with, and homeopathy medicines are not absolutely harmless. They can not be given for prolonged periods without any side effects. I would again suggest - treat the cause, not the effect.
