Hi Dr B, I'm a Pharmacist in Oklahoma USA and am a novice in homeopathy. I think there are more answers in homeopathy than alopathy and/or surgery. My son is 23 years old and ever since pubery he has been plagued with hyperhydrosis. Mostly the under arms. He is rather quiet until he is comfortable with his surroundings. He is more comfortable in cooler weather than the heat. Is this enough information for you to give me some idea of a homeopathic pathway to take is trying to "dry him up"?

Hi rwootten,
In homeopathy there are more than 150 medicines which cover the symptom of hyperhydrosis. Of these atleast 25 cover the symptom in first grade and another 40 cover it in second grade. This info alone should tell you that the information you have given is not sufficient to suggest a remedy for your son. Even if I consider that he is better in cool, i would be having atleast 30 medicines in my hand. To narrow down to the right remedy, a lot more information about the physical and psychological constitution is required.
Dr. B
