My husband suffers from severe depression. He has choosen to do nothing about it. He refuses to go to the doctor. I work full-time. We have a one year old child. I have brought the topic of depression several times to him. He doesn't want to talk about it and thinks I am trying to find fault with him. We have no married couple life. He doesn't talk or respond to questions. He aggravates easily. He skips most meals at home. Offlate he has picked up smoking. He is always brooding and sulking about unknown problems. I feel frustrated becaused, inspite of trying hard I have a poor quality of life. Can you help me. He will not come out. I am not sure if he will take medicines, but there has to be a solution.

Patients who are not willing to take medicines by themselves can be given medicines in food or water without their knowledge. There has to be some cause for his depression and I would recommend that you talk to a homeopath in detail so that he/she can find a medicine that can be given to your husband and break his cycle of depression. The symptoms you have mentioned are common symptoms of depression. The cause needs to be addressed to resolve the problem in its totality. I do feel there is hope for you.
