My girlfriend has got really bad acid reflux or GERD. She's currently on prilosec i think, but being such a homeopathy advocate myself i told her she's not really adressing the real problem. I snooped around and found Nux Vomica to be the most prominent remedy. Is this what she should try at a low dose of 30ch and if so for how long and at what dosage? Thanks for your time.

Dear James,
I am not sure what you mean by 'snooped around'. If it means you matched the symptoms and the cause of acid reflux with the symptoms of Nux, then you may give the medicine. If you are not very sure, I would recommend you consult a professional homeopath who can analyse and address the root cause of her problems. Otherwise, a low potency like 30C is recommended. But it should be given only for a limited period of few weeks and not more than once a day. If relief is not visible within first few days, the medicine should be discontinued.
Best wishes,
Dr. B
