| Well, Kelly, look around you! It's a lovely day
for an Hpathy Quiz, don't you agree? The sun is shining, the birds are chirping...you are sick, aren't
you?
Even better, Elaine; my husband's sick!
Woo-hoo! Wait a minute; it's not his foot again, is it?
Oh, no, this is much more exciting!
Good, because I think we've reached our foot-injury
threshold for the year, with toothaches running a close second--do
try and see the dentist every once in a while, will you? What's
wrong with your husband this time?
Well, Elaine, here it is--you gotta love this story!
Wait a minute! What are we going to call him?
How about, Milton?
I'm sorry, Kelly, we wouldn't want our readers
to think you were married to Milton Berle!

Elaine, I seriously doubt that anyone would think, even
for a minute, that I was married to to
"Mr. Television", Milton Berle! Now, blues singer, Little
Milton? That's a definite possibility!

How about, Dennis?
Sounds too much like "Dentist", might put people
off! Ugh! Homeopathy is so tricky!
Kelly, if it were easy, anyone could do it! How
about...Kermit?
Kermit... Kermit...Kermie.... That shouldn't remind
anyone of anyone!
Exactly!

OK! Well here it is! I hope you enjoy reading
this.
I have found that treating "Kermit" homeopathically,
is a challenge. He's skimpy with details, vague about how he feels
and many times will sabotage his own treatment, albeit unintentionally.
For example, after spending hours repertorizing his scanty list
of symptoms one time (I think he had a sore throat) and finally
coming up with a remedy, he tells me that he's already taken ibuprofen!
And he was quite alarmed that I was so irritated with him!
I have also tried to determine what constitutional remedy my "Kermie"
might be. I suspected________but was never really sure as it seemed
to only offer slight improvements in his various complaints.
I mention these things as an intro to what happened recently and
how I think I may have inadvertently discovered his constitutional
remedy. Here's what happened:
My husband, "Kermit", has suffered from stomach complaints
for years! It recently became worse causing a lot of distress including
an inability to focus on his work.
It usually begins with what he describes as "indigestion"
which many times follows coffee drinking that may or may not have
been excessive. His stomach burns somewhat, he feels "tension"
in the abdomen accompanied by a "knot" sensation.
The stomach disturbance always occurs during stressful times at
work. There is usually a negative situation that he is worried about
to the point of occupying most of his thoughts. He thinks about
work issues alot, talks about them and also has trouble sleeping.
After trying a couple different remedies, I decided to try_________30c.
This remedy was my third choice and I really didn't have a lot of
confidence it would work. However, after two doses, he said his
stomach felt a little better. After the third dose, it was clearly
better! However, two weeks later, he told me the stomach discomfort
had returned but, naturally, it never occurred to him to take another
dose!
Men don't manage well on their own, Kelly.
No!!!! Really? So, the next and most recent
episode was brought on by more turmoil at work! Many "unknown"
factors such as a new boss, a possible job promotion or even the
loss of his job!
His appetite had decreased, he was somewhat irritable, wanted hot
tea to drink, was chilly and very easily
distractable. He was totally preoccupied with thoughts of work and
had an "apprehensive" feeling which led to problems sleeping.
The poor guy was a train wreck!
We returned to the previous remedy in water. After the second dose
he didn't feel a whole lot better. I tried a third with the same
result. "What happened?" I thought.
Did you succuss the remedy before each dose?
Yes, definitely, I wouldn't want to get on the bad side of Samuel
Hahnemann!
So what did you decide to do at that point?
I almost pulled out my repertory again but decided to give
the same remedy another try in a 200c.
Very good! When a remedy works, always stay with
it before going off and trying something new. So what happened with
the 200C?
Pay dirt!
Really?!
The stomach complaint resolved within 15 minutes!
Wow!
He became more relaxed and his appetite returned. Over the
next several days he noticed that, though stressed, he felt better
able to deal with the tension. He was sleeping better, his mood
was lighter and he began to view the worries at work more as opportunities
than things to be feared. This in and of itself was amazing! In
addition, two of his co-workers told him he "looked younger"!
Wow!
Kelly, let me just ask you, is he a sweets lover?
He's a HUGE sweets eater, especially chocolate. I can't
keep it in the house and the kids have to hide their Halloween trick-or-treat
bags from him or they'd have nothing left for themselves!!
Does he prefer tight or loose clothing?
Definitely loose.
Any issue with public speaking?
Fear, but he does great with it once he starts.
Does he worry about failure?
Big time, but makes darn sure he succeeds.
OK, I think we've all heard enough. If you know
what Kelly gave to "Kermie"--hey, isn't that cute? "Kelly
and Kermie!"....awwwwwwww.......
Ewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!
...send me a letter at LEWRA@aol.com
and let me know! We'll see if you're right in the next issue!
Oh! Wait a minute, Kelly! I nearly forgot!
Comforting words for your husband from Little Milton: "We may
not have a cent, to pay the rent, but we're gonna make it, I know
we will." Check it out:
