| Some time ago Dr. Manish Bhatia asked for support in his “Fight Back” for homeopathy. He got a big response from the homeopathic community but not many international homeopathic organizations, schools and pharmacies agreed to support the appeal, so I had the idea to ask them directly. For me, being a homeopath not only means to practice this healing art, but also to fight for it, so that I will be able to practice in the future. Homeopathy is used for humans, animal and plants in over 80 countries throughout the world and a constant growth is noted, although there are still countries in which the word "homeopathy" is quite foreign. In some countries it is integrated into the public health care system. Often, it is exclusively limited to doctors, but elsewhere non-medical professionals are qualified to practice. In some countries, no quality standards for homeopathic education exist, or the quality is quite low. In other places, there are problems with the availability of homeopathic medicines, or pharmacies are forced by laws and regulations to change the manufacturing procedures, resulting in deviation from Hahnemann’s original instructions. And of course, homeopathy has always had its detractors. Despite all these obstacles to practicing homeopathy, it has always been and will remain a healing art that requires profound knowledge, love and the desire to help the sick. With over 300 million patients using homeopathy, we homeopaths have a duty to offer the best possible education and to further advance our own healing skills. I think Hpathy.com has established one of the best educational platforms where homeopaths can learn and exchange valuable information. Thank you so much for all your professional work and the time and heart you put into it! Future articles will include the history and current status of homeopathy in different countries and the work of different international homeopathic organizations. Through this, we aim to give an overview of the practice of homeopathy throughout the world, to introduce the great work that homeopathic organizations have performed and to sensitize each other to the problems homeopaths in other countries are facing. This is my contribution to strengthen the homeopathic community and to promote the worldwide expansion of homeopathy. I hope you will enjoy these articles.
