No I did that when I first read the book. I also had the impression that the remedies I made up worked a little better - however I cannot offer sound proof of that. The coldness was objective though and I had other people confirm it for me.

Hi Everybody, yesterday I prescribed again a written remedy on the phone, Lycopodium 200, to a 35 old women with acute headache. Clear Lyco headache, personality and life style. It worked again, the pain was in less than 10 minutes 100% gone. I told her to keep the paper in the water only 30 minutes, because of the pain. She noted the same weird metallic taste in the water as many other patients. So I guess 30 minutes should be generally enough time for this kind of written "medicine". Who is up do same testing too ? Regard, scarface

cire is the only person who makes any sense in this thread.
anyone who believes in this method is gullible.
once again the new agers are trying to destroy homeopathy.
there should be a law that only people with a year of college chemistry or biology should be allowed to practice homeopathy. this would go a long way in weeding out the quacks, the fruit loop new agers and the intellectually incompetent.
http://www.hpathy.com/interviews/georgevithoulkas.asp
GV: Before we continue this discussion we have
to agree on certain issues. For instance, ideas like potentizing
a song, or the Berlin wall, or the feather of an eagle if the
patient looks like an eagle, or writing the name of the remedy
on a piece of paper and letting a glass of water stand over it
or that if one looks like a vegetable you must choose a vegetable
remedy, or that we do not need to prove remedies because we can
use our imagination to determine the symptoms, etc. are, to say
the least, ideas that have degraded homeopathy and caused articles
like the one in TIMES to appear. If then we agree that all this
is nonsense or craziness then the question should be presented
as follows: should we be united around an idea which is solid
and workable - Hahnemann's teachings - or an idea which is crazy?

Nobody is willing to destroy homeopathy. And I am not a new ager either. I am just ... not you ! In this world there are not only Kaliums around, there are some experimenting Sulfurs too ... For many people this is so hard to believe as homeopathy is for alopaths. Here is where a homeopath goes to the limits of his own mind.
You cannot expect that everybody has to think and do as you think is ok to do do and think. I understand you doubts, but this is why I posted here this: to show others that it works and to encourage other people to try it too. It can help when you are in the desert and you have only some water available, or when your friend is sick and has no remedy at hand, or when you are in the hospital with your kid and its night and cannot get any remedy anywhere. Or you live in a country where there are no high potency to get.
This is good thing about written remedies and not to replace the real ones.
And believe or not : It's WORKING and the damned water has a weird metallic taste after a few minutes. Make a test yourself if you dare to risk a proving. I only tried with potencies starting with 200 though..
I even graduated a university and I DARE to experiment and to know what works and not by myself and I don't care a penny what Vithoulkas or you think.
I have my own brain and my own eyes. Of course it would be stupid from Vithoulkas to admit such a thing, even if he would know that it works ( I would just do the same in his place). You are free to do what you want, in my opinion FOOL is only somebody who can try smth. easely and doesn't dare to try because of his own mental barriers. Try and convince yourself of the contrary or are you AFRAID that your ideas might be wrong ? What GV writes above I agree with it, THAT is really stupid and make no sense, but this has nothing to do with that, is just another form of the remedy itself, a method Masaru Emoto proved it is working. Learn to differentiate, Mister Kalium.
By the way: In a few years you would not be able to buy ANY homeopathic remedies anymore (so make now a big stock) because they WILL be forbidden soon along with the natural food (codex alimentarius) and it will be WAR all over and then then you would be happy to have somebody told such a "fool" thing. Regards, scarface

You are correct that if the EU meddlers and the USA Allopaths have their way all kinds of Natural remedies inc Homeopathic will not be available
The drug companies and big business plus the power of Allopathic Medicine is determined to stop anyone questioning the hell they are causing to people in the name of control and profits

i will have to make my own arsenicum and nux vomica if the government bans the sale to the public, but i will do it the way the real homeopaths have been doing it for over 200 years.
i will not do it the fake way.
the fake way is to write it on a piece of paper and drop it in a glass of water.
i would fall off my chair laughing at this nonsense if it wasn't so tragic. the tragedy being that sick people are being hoodwinked by the crazies.
samuel hahnemann would be sad over this news.

also i am about as far away from a kalium as they come. i too am an experimenting sulphur.
but i know crazy from crazy and i know homeopathy from fake homeopathy.
in less than 5 minutes i am about to partake in this experiment. i will be brewing up a fake batch of china 200c.
the weird metallic taste that you are tasting is imaginary. it is nothing more than a figment of your imagination. the rest is placebo effect.

okay, my batch of fake 200c china is brewing.
now i have an experiment for you.
go to the hardware store and buy a bag of cement. mix it up with water and pour it in a mold to create a rectangular block. now write SULPHUR 10M in it and let it dry.
go pitch it in the nearest lake that feeds all the water needs of a large city and see if it poisons the population.
if so make sure not to let this on to Al Quaida

You are getting a bit too nasty and bold for my taste mister... I pretended not to see the word "fool" and your direct offenses before, now you even trespass the margin of bad taste. So watch out your articulation, keep the heck out of the things are too much for your understanding and erase this stupid picture out of the thread nobody beg you of ! But FAST !

here is another experiment for people who believe in this method go to your basement and cut out a section of your copper water pipe. replace it with a large copper chamber that has a metal block with the word PHOSPHOROUS 100M etched in to it. that water is all connected to the water that feeds thousands of homes. see if they all come down with phosphorous provings. i think not.

Snoopy: I gave the remedies like that because there was no chance of getting any real ones. There were high potency remedies, unique dose, so most of the people took them only once.
I told people to wash the glasses well with hot water after using the glass.
Scarface, I must tell you, you cannot "wash out" a remedy. Once a remedy is in a container, it's always there! All you have to do is fill the container up with water and the remedy is back! I have heard that you have to boil a container for twenty minutes to get rid of the remedy. This is why I always tell people to use disposable everything when making remedies.
I guess is not important if you use glass of plastic specially if you place the paper into the water.
This brings me to the next question. You put the paper IN the glass? Doesn't this make an absolute mess? You've got paper and ink in the water and now you ask someone to drink it? Maybe the metallic taste comes from unnatural substances being placed in the water, it doesn't sound like such a great idea!
There is no experiment here if we can't eliminate variables, there should be only one variable in any experiment. So, if the word was taped to the outside of the glass, at least you have just the word and not the presence of ink and paper in the water, all inks are not equal, some being more toxic than others, like the ink in permanent markers.
The interesting thing also is the weird taste present in the water.
Not so weird if you're putting things in the water! Emoto doesn't put paper and ink in the water, as I remember.

I went to Emoto's website and no, paper and ink are not dropped in the glass of water:
Thoughts and Words Affect Water
After seeing water react to different environmental conditions, pollution and music, Mr. Emoto and colleagues decided to see how thoughts and words affected the formation of untreated, distilled, water crystals, using words typed onto paper by a word processor and taped on glass bottles overnight.
The same procedure was performed using the names of deceased persons. The waters were then frozen and photographed.

Thank you! The problem here is the placebo effect is pretty powerful. You can't say something this far fetched is true without lots of cases or at least one "rescued from the brink of death" case that classical homeopathy is known for. I have a degree in Engineering Physics and let me tell you all this talk about 'vibrations' and whatnot is complete utter bull****. The notion that "everything has an energy pattern" doesn't make any sense in terms of what energy means in physics.

i wash the remedies out of glassware by filling a pitcher of water and carefully pouring it into the glass and emptying it. this is repeated a dozen times. the key is to pour very slowly as to not cause any succussion. there was some discussion on here a while back that you can weaken a remedy's effect by diluting it in a glass of water. this is done if a patient is reacting too strongly to it. the same principle applies to washing out the glass. someone should ask Boiron how they clean their sprayers after completing a batch. do they send boiling hot water thru them or do they just allow for a slow rinse. it's still a mystery as to what happens to the millions of gallons of water that are dumped down the drains around the world from the manufacturers of remedies to the do-it-yourselfers. are we poisoning ourselves? or as brisbane mentioned, is dilution rendering them ineffective. i have heard people say that quantity makes no difference. this is not true. what would likely have more affect on a person. a quintrillionth of a gram shaved off a pellet or an ounce of fresh batch. the fresh batch of course. FTR-- i will never use the pellet in a water bottle method again. i made a thread on this a while ago. when i had to refill the 4 ounce amber glass bottle with new distilled water the remedy went dead. i know for an absolute fact that it went dead because i was having great success with the remedy at the time. it was nux vomica 30c and it was exactly last year that i started taking it. at first i took the pellets then i switched to the water method. at first i was pretty certain it was working, but as soon as i refilled it ceased to work. i was told that the addition of alcohol would have kept it working. maybe, maybe not. not sure what happened but never again. too many variables involved. what should the proper ratio be when adding new water to old remedy? how does the alcohol affect things? something went wrong, maybe it was the omission of alcohol.

Astro, all you're doing is replacing the remedy over and over again, you're not getting rid of it at all. When my mother ran out of her rhus tox pellets, I told her, "Ma, just fill the tube up with water!" She said she couldn't believe it but it still worked! Dumping out, adding more water, dumping out, adding more water, does not get rid of the remedy. In fact, this is what you should do to make the remedy more gentle when you've got a hypersensitive patient: dump out, refill, dump out, refill...up to 24 times I've seen it. The remedy still works.
there was some discussion on here a while back that you can weaken a remedy's effect by diluting it in a glass of water. this is done if a patient is reacting too strongly to it.
This is basically what I was just saying. But the remedy still acts; you'd have to do this a lot more than a dozen times. I've never seen the end to it, I've heard reports of 60 times and the remedy still acted.
the same principle applies to washing out the glass.
I hate to say it but I don't think you have a principle here. It's safer to say that whatever vessel a remedy was in, it will always be in unless you boil it for a lengthy period of time.
someone should ask Boiron how they clean their sprayers after completing a batch.
If you're really curious, just email the pharmacies, someone will answer!
do they send boiling hot water thru them or do they just allow for a slow rinse.
it's still a mystery as to what happens to the millions of gallons of water that are dumped down the drains around the world from the manufacturers of remedies to the do-it-yourselfers. are we poisoning ourselves? or as brisbane mentioned, is dilution rendering them ineffective.

Did you succuss the bottle? You're supposed to succuss before each dose or you can antidote the last dose you took. I've accidently done it to myself two or three times.
i know for an absolute fact that it went dead because i was having great success with the remedy at the time. it was nux vomica 30c and it was exactly last year that i started taking it. at first i took the pellets then i switched to the water method. at first i was pretty certain it was working, but as soon as i refilled it ceased to work.
i was told that the addition of alcohol would have kept it working. maybe, maybe not.
not sure what happened but never again.
too many variables involved.
I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you saying you had a remedy water bottle, it got down to nothing, you refilled it, and nothing happened? Do you know you have to succuss before each dose? what should the proper ratio be when adding new water to old remedy?
When the bottle is nearly empty, 90% empty, add more water to the original water line.
how does the alcohol affect things?
Alcohol keeps mold from growing in your water bottle.
something went wrong, maybe it was the omission of alcohol.

@Snoopy.
Most of the time the paper was taped out. The metallic taste is there too in this case. There were 2 cases when people did not have tape in the house, so I told them to put the paper in the water. It had same effect. You are thinking too complicated and too much theory versus reality. If you think the paper and the ink would affect water, then you have to think too of all the substances we have in the water: chlor, hormones, radioactive stuff, medicine, nitrit, etc. We never have pure water... do you really think the paper and the ink would make a difference.
The potencied remedy acts on another level then material things and this levels dont interfere too much as people would thing, the first 1 is stronger. Material things cannot attack the remedy easely. They x-ray remedies at airports and they still act. Try yourself and see if it works, all this theoretical stuff is nothing worth.
