(B.) Physical sphere:
Like in the mental plane the destruction on
the physical plane of a Kali bichrom patient is very much visible
in all organs of body. It is to be noted that unlike the Psora,
which is visible more on the surface the Syphilitic complaints
affect the internal organs more and instead of affecting the
skin they tend to establish themselves on the mucus membranes
of the internal organs. The internal organs, especially those
which are mesodermal in origin, are damaged structurally.
The special affinity of Kali bichrom are the
mucus membranes of stomach, bowels, and air-passages; bones and
fibrous tissues. Kidneys, heart, and liver are also affected.
Mucous membranes everywhere are affected. Cattarrh of pharynx,
larynx, bronchi and nose; and a tough, stringy, viscid secretion
is produced, which condition is very strong guiding symptom for
Kali bichrom. Other organic lesions commonly found in Kali bichrom
patients are: Incipient parenchymatous nephritis; perforation
of the septum; dilatation of stomach and heart, etc. Some other
symptoms of Kali bichrom which depict the destructive forces at
work in a Kali bichrom patient are listed below:
- Head: Semilateral headache in small spots, and from suppressed
catarrh.
( The Syphilitic catarrh is suppressed resulting
in headaches which are sycotic in nature). Headache over
eyebrows, preceded by blurred vision. Aching and fullness in
glabella. Frontal pain (sycotic) usually over one eye. Bones
and scalp feel sore (syphilitic).
- Eyes: Discharge ropy and yellow (syphilitic/tubercular). Ulcers
on cornea.
- Nose: Snuffles of children (syphilitic/sycotic). Septum ulcerated;
round ulcer. Loss of smell (all senses like auditory, visual,
sense of smell, etc are damaged. Even common sense is not spared-resulting
in idiocy!).
- Stomach: Dilatation of stomach (muscle damage!). Gastritis.
Round ulcers of stomach. Cannot digest meat (syphilitic)
- Abdomen: Chronic intestinal ulceration. Fatty infiltration
of liver and increase in soft fibrous tissue.
- Urinary: Congestion of kidneys; nephritis, with scanty, albuminous
urine and casts. Pyelitis. Haematochyluria.
- Skin: Ulcers with punched-out edges, with tendency
to penetrate and tenacious exudation.
The above illustration clearly shows why Kali bichromicum
is known for it's destructive tendencies. |
